The “Angela Hondru” Romanian-Japanese Studies Center was established in May 2005 within the Romanian-American University, with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Bucharest and JTI.
The Center aims to promote the study of the Japanese language, culture and business environment to those interested, both students of the Romanian-American University (therefore future businessmen, diplomats or specialists in international law) and those who are passionate about the Japanese model.
For our students, a great benefit resides in participating in study programs at prestigious universities in Japan, but also internships at Japanese companies, study trips to Japan and summer schools organized annually, which have the role of making them aware of the culture and history of both countries.
Moreover, the Center has managed to create a tradition by providing a clear picture of the elements of traditional Japanese culture, such as: Japanese Tea Ceremony, Ikebana, Taiko, but also Aikido or Ninjutsu.
