Japanese Language Courses

The “Angela Hondru” Romanian-Japanese Studies Center organizes Japanese language courses for beginner, intermediate and advanced students. The course spans over an academic year under the guidance of four professors, two Romanian and two Japanese

Until recently, there were no Study Centers for those who, out of pure passion, want to study the Japanese language and culture.

In 2005, the “Angela Hondru” Romanian-Japanese Studies Center was created within the Romanian-American University and primarily organized Japanese language courses for students from specialized undergraduate courses: future economists, lawyers and computer science experts. It became obvious that for these students, the program developed for professionals was not so effective, and the need to adjust the study process to the needs of students became an important objective. On the other hand, the system in which the courses take place must encourage creative manifestations and personal initiatives, which will facilitate the creation of a relaxed atmosphere.

This familiar and friendly atmosphere diminishes the worry of “not knowing the right answer” or fears about “what will other students say if I’m wrong?” and strives to unlock certain subconscious areas useful for the learning process.
